Tami here with a very inspirational chat room guest. Sandy Allnock, founder of Operation Write Home will be our chat room guest on Friday, September 17th. Her organization has sent over half a million handmade blank cards to our nation’s heroes stationed overseas to send back home to their loved ones. We’re joining in on the birthday celebration at Operation Write Home with a card making party and Sandy can’t wait to chat with us. You won’t want to miss this one. She’s a very inspirational and dedicated card maker who decided to put her skills to use for others in a huge way. Join us in the Chat Room on September 17th at 5:00pm PDT.

Hi Tami here again with an event you won’t want to miss. We’re joining in on the birthday celebration with Operation Write Home by having a Card Making Party. You can follow all the fun right here at the Fiskateer Message Board. We’ll be making cards to donate to Operation Write Home. This is an organization founded by a card maker just like us. We’ll be making all sorts of blank cards for soldiers stationed overseas to send back home to their loved ones. There’s a need for all types of cards for little kids, spouses, and parents. Just imagine if your loved one were away for a year or more what types of cards they would need to send back home. Sandy Allnock, the founder of OWH, was a guest blogger here and you can read a bit about the organization on this blog post. While you are waiting for the event, take a look through your stash of cards to see if you have some that might fit the guidelines for the type of cards they need. I can’t wait to see how many cards the Fiskateers can add to the over half a million cards that have been shipped so far.

Hey, it’s me, Rebecca!  Hold on to your scissors, Fiskateers - you’ll never guess who’s joining us in the Fiskateer Chatroom!!!  It’s the one and only Claudine Hellmuth!!!  WOOHOO!  Not only is she an amazing arist, she’s also an author and has her own line of products, Claudine Hellmuth Studio.  And, did you know that she is the artistic genius behind the original look of the Fiskateers?  Wow, we’ll have lots to chat about, so join us on Thursday, Sept. 23rd at 9 pm EDT in the Fiskateer Chatroom.  It’ll be great! 

Woot!  Woot!  Rebecca and Angela will be partying like it’s their birthday on Saturday, Nov. 6th in Springfield, MO!  Actually, it’s Scrapbook Generation’s sixth birthday, and they are having a huge birthday bash!  Rebecca and Angela will be there doing a fun make-n-take, and they’ll have a small goody for every Fiskateer that comes wearing a little orange.  Scrapbook Generation is located at 330 E.
