Fresno, here I come! I am heading to a charity crop tomorrow (it’s quite a long distance from home- I’ll drive there tonight) and I’m so darn excited about meeting some fisk-a-teers, checking out a new-to-me store, and of course, cropping for charity! (JDRF, or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International and the Walk to Cure Diabetes) I will be sure to share photos and stories when I return.
The one downside is… I’m crazy sick. No fever- which is crazy considering the chills/fever I’ve been having… but this is one nasty bug. This has simply been the WORST winter ever for illness around my house. It’s crazy. Every 2 weeks there is something new. ARG! I’ve been in bed 2 days now, and it’s just not getting any better. Anyhow, I’m going to gather all the energy and strength that I have and go to the crop. No way could I cancel- we’ve had this planned for months! So, send me your good health vibes. Right now I’m sipping on oatmeal mush and about to pack up the car…
Oh yes, and I will have to draw a winner when I get back (adhesive RAK), and if you are expecting me to ship something… well I think the above paragraph explains it’ll have to be next week! Take care and have a craft-filled weekend Fiskateers!!

Thank you for doing this charity crop. Juvinile Diabetes hits close to home with me. I was diagnosed 35 years ago at the age of 4. My dad was diagnosed 12 years ago(although not juvenile diabetes) and my 10 year-old nephew just 2 years ago. They really do need to find a cure and the only way is through research which is funded by events like you are doing. A BIG THANK YOU for taking the time to help so many out to work towards finding a cure.

March 28th, 2008 at 2:43 pmHope you feel better soon. I have been sick for 3 weeks I don’t go to the doctor for a cold or flu but I am seriously starting to wonder if there is something more to this.
So I have stocked up on echinacea “tea” - good thing my sense of taste has gone because I am sure this is not great. Also caved and bought some ColdFX - not sure what it is - based on ginseng - but I have to try something.
Hope you have a good crop despite the fact that you are under the weather.

March 29th, 2008 at 12:18 amI had some nasty stomach bug for a couple days. It knocked me flat on my hiney … well, that is when I wasn’t “praying to the porcelain god” as my coworker so nicely put it. I hope that your two days of rest was enough to get you back on your feet and in the swing of things. And I doubly hope that you have a super fun time!
